Hi friends!
Just to get the ball rolling for Saturday night activities... one suggested nightspot I've heard about is The Loading Dock, at 205 Lake @ Cass,Traverse City Mi.49684. Phone is: 231-941-4422. www.theloadingdock.org A great microbrewery for dinner/drinks is North Peak Brewery, at 400 West Front Street, downtown Traverse City, 231-941-7325. www.northpeak.net
Another fabulous Michigan activity is mini-golf, and Pirate's Cove at 1710 U.S. 31 North, Traverse City MI 49684, 231-938-9599 (probably a drive, not a walk) is open 10 am - 11 pm every day!
Hope you find some fun stuff to do - more info will be in your hotel rooms. We can't wait!! Have fun - Michigan is gorgeous this time of year!!
We will call some of you after the rehearsal dinner on Sat. eve and try to catch up with you in T.C.!
Love, J+D
Welcome!
On September 30, 2007, after much planning and help from our friends & family, we tied the knot in Traverse City, Michigan! (Fig. 1) So now we'll use this blog (set up for wedding planning) to chronicle our continuing adventures in Berkeley and beyond.

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I don't have any embarrassing photos of Julie, but I did manage to find this picture of Dave.
Steve and I will be renting a car and staying at the Bayshore Resort. We plan to go to all the group events, so please just give us a call (646-234-8325) if you need a ride.
Look forward to seeing all of you soon.
Take care,
Amber + Steve

Hello all,
Andy and I are looking forward to meeting all of Dave and Julie's friends and family and celebrating in MI! We arrive Friday at 6:40 pm from O'Hare and leave Monday at 12:19 pm. We're staying at the Bayshore (reservations under Heilshorn), and we're not renting a car. We're definitely up for Saturday evening activities.
Here are a couple of action shots of Dave and Julie at our wedding in Ohio a couple years ago. (Dave, I've decided not to post the dance troupe photos, because I think they might be more embarassing for me than you!)
Cheers,
Sarah

Thanks!!
Hi everyone!
Thanks so much for everyone who has posted their travel information so far! This is really helpful! I'm also pleasantly surprised by all the great pictures that people have posted. In answer to Ben question, I seem recall that we were simply removing the CRT from the TV to make a very nice bookshelf! I wonder where that picture of the TV-bookshelf went - I also wonder what happened to the remains of the CRT for that matter - I'm sure it wasn't related to the train bridge by any means! :) You must have held significant restraint not to post any more incriminating photos!
Thanks to Hillary for posting the picture of our weapons of "brass destruction." (Jay and I can really be a bunch of brassholes!)
Kristin, those are some great photos from the California pre-wedding party! That was really a lot of fun and great to see everyone there. Can't wait to see the rest of you all soon in Michigan - it will really be a beautiful Michigan fall - my favorite season.
Thanks everyone so much! I can't wait to see you all soon!!
Dave
(p.s., if I weren't so techno-hindered I would probably know how to upload some pictures of my own... Any help?)

"Demolition" Dave on the Poughkeepsie-Highland Railroad Bridge (212 Feet above the Hudson River) in 1998 or 99. What's he doing with that CRT monitor in the first photo?Tracey and I will arrive in Traverse City on Friday at 1:08 PM. We're leaving on Monday at 11:05 AM.
We are staying at the Bayshore Resort. We will not have a car.

Berkeley crew
So in hopes of enjoying some of beautiful Michigan, the Berkeley folks (Delphine, Tim, Dave and Colette) will be taking the red eye into Traverse City arriving Saturday morning at 10:27am. We'll be going on the vineyard tour and lighthouse walk on Saturday afternoon (where we hope to meet some of you!) and would love to meet up with anyone who wants to have dinner in Traverse City that night. We'll be staying at the Bayshore Resort. And we're all leaving mid-day ish on Monday. We aren't renting a car.

So the first picture (on the right) is from when I first met Julie at ACCESS in August 2005 (the best randomly assigned roomate EVER!). It's been wonderful having Julie and Dave in Berkeley and many wine country trips (left), trips into the city (right), dinner parties and drink fiascos have ensued.

This last photo is a reminder of a wonderful New Year's a group of us spent in Tahoe and some of the best times had (so far!) in Northern California!

Hey there,
Karly and I will be flying into Traverse City on Saturday evening via NWA (the rap group, not the airline) at around 8:45 p.m. We'll be staying at the Bayshore Resort and will be leaving around the middle of the day on Monday. We don't currently have plans to rent a car.
Karly wanted to know, if you're not changing your name to Frichalak, if you were going to use MichFry, instead. I mean, you didn't say you weren't, so I'm going to assume it's a yes.
-D
p.s. You already have seen embarrassing pictures of Dave and I, so I don't think I'll bother posting them again. :p
